Concern:
I've has typical male pattern hair loss for nearly 10 years, and have tried most things
including a hair transplant. I've now got a programme that I'm comfortable with,
and works to maintain the hair I have.

Expectations:
Hair retention is the key for me. I have a hairline that I'm generally happy with,
but I need to maintain what I have. Maintaining my hair is important, but I also want
to do so in a way that's comfortable and doesn't lead to side effects.

My Story:
Nothing I've tried gave me the results that the transplant did, they're expensive but definitely worth it. Be careful to do a lot of research on the surgeon you use, but a good surgeon can give amazing results.

Unfortunately even a transplant isn't a 100% cure, I still needed to maintain my natural and transplanted hair . I use Minoxidil to maintain my hair, it's a medicine and there are non-medical alternatives - like Nanogen Serum VEGF, but I've been using Minoxidil for years so wouldn't change now.

Recently I found the Scalproller on a forum. It was an interesting idea, so I went to my trichologist and discussed using the Scalproller, because Minoxidil has never worked that well right at the front. I wanted to see if there was yet more benefit to be gained from using Minoxidil, and also what impact it would have on my hair transplant scars. You can also use the Scalproller with Serum VEGF if you don't want to try Minoxidil.

The one down side with Minoxidil is it does dry my scalp pretty badly; but Scalp Ease MDL really helps to cool and soothe my skin, and takes away the dry itchy feeling completely. I also used to get dandruff regularly from using Minoxidil, I use Hair Prepare every day as well which does wonders, and prepares my scalp for the treatment as well. For the first time in years my scalp is comfortable and I don't notice any dryness from Minoxidil.

Day to day I'm happy with the way my hair looks now, and just want to keep it that way. However for special occasions I want to look my best and Nanofibres are brilliant for that. They instantly make my hairline and crown look thicker and fuller again, I look 10 years younger again when I'm wearing them! They're ideal for my anniversary or school reunions as I can wash them out easily so only use them when I want them.
